What Are Our Products Made From?

Sisal.....natural floorcovering

Sisal is manufactured from the fiber from the Sisalana Agaves plant which is a cactus plant grown in large plantations. The fiber from the leaf is extracted and then cleaned, dried, died, spun and finally loomed into the finished natural floorcovering with a foam backing that you see on this website.

· A firm fiber and therefore extremely hard wearing

· Natural fiber available in different weaves – different textures

· Easy to maintain with a Dry Cleaning system

· Available in many different colors, textures and patterns


Coir..... natures beautiful floorcovering

Coir fiber is from the husk of the Coconut. The raw fiber is held in ponds for about 6 months to soften and then is spun and loomed into a very hard wearing floorcovering that has a very casual look, ideal for the Australian home.

We also make the Door Well matting which is latex backed so that it can be cut to the size of any door well.

· Very hard wearing

· Casual rustic look with earthen tones that blend with any décor.

· Easy to maintain with a Dry Cleaning system

Seagrass.... natures beautiful floorcovering

This is as it is – a grass from the sea. Seagrass is harvested from the seabed and then dried out and woven into the squares and then these squares are sewn together in a bale that is 9 tiles wide x 36 tiles in length.

However, today we also weave Seagrass into 4 meter wide rolls of floorcovering with a latex backing which is proving very popular.

· Hard wearing.

· Four different patterns in 4 meter wide rolls plus the bales of Seagrass matting in 9 tile width.

· Easily maintained and an inexpensive floorcovering


Door well matting and door mats.....natural floorcoverings

We have a range of Coir door mats from 40cm x 68cm up to 76cm x 122cm. We only carry the good quality coir door mats. Door Well matting. Mainly used in office buildings we have this in rolls so that we can cut you any size door mat for your door well.

We can make a stylish rug to your dimensions with your choice of a wide range of borders including Overlocking, 2" cotton, Hessian, Tuck Under with Rubber Backing & Self Edge. If you have an idea as to how you would like your rug bordered or wish to supply your own border then just let us know.
